The Strange Cat That Looked Like Cindy

Once upon a time, when I was a small child, I used to have a beautiful silvery grey cat called Cindy. She had gorgeous thick fur and large golden amber eyes. I think if I had to classify her as a breed I would say that she looked like a Russian Blue, but in all probability she was probably just a house cat.

One day I went out for a walk, and I saw this massive male cat on the ground, who also happened to be silvery grey with large amber eyes. He seemed fairly tame as well. "Its Cindy!", I exclaimed, even though I knew it wasn't, pretending to be mistaken with thinking that Cindy had run away from home and was now lost and I had found her. I needed to pretend because I think my brother or some friends were with me at the time.

So, I picked up "Cindy", and proceeded to walk home with "her" (him). And, when I got home I said "Its Cindy! ", to which my mother replied "Thats not Cindy". Nevertheless, I was delighted with my find, I had brought home a male boyfriend for my cat who looked just like her. After all, I love cats, and you have to have more than one cat as a pet. Although I think we did have various dogs etc at the time as well.

The day unfolded with the male cat proceeding to get lost up the tree, with me trying to get him down, and no longer knowing what to call him because I couldn't really call him Cindy anymore. I remember the cat looking down at me and thinking that he definitely didn't look that much like Cindy after all, he was much bigger and had a much more defined face, like some kind of wild cat.

Anyway so I got bored, and the cat went next door again, to my friend Charmaine's garden, where he had probably come from in the first place. Sadly, this tale did not result in grey kittens. There were grey kittens later, but thats another whole new story, about a different cat.

I should also probably admitt that I wasn't that much of a small child at the time, in fact I was a teenager, and shouldn't really have been as preoccupied with the acquisition of pets as I was and still in fact am, but thats another story in itself too.
